Adding US/Canada maps on Go 950 Live

Postby fsa259 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 12:50 am

I just want to double check I am heading in the right direction before doing something silly and bricking my TT.

So, as above, I have a Go 950 Live with Navcore 9.510.1234792.1 (2039 4/4/13).

Based on the colour coded chart, 9.510 can use any of the maps (they all have ticks) and 995.8508 and 995.8546 have meta data available for USA and Canada, so I should be okay to download either of these?

My Go 950 has 4GB built in, so I'm quite sure I can fit the map on the device. If not, is there anything special I need to do to have the map on a microSD? Do I need to run FastActivate from the microSD?

Yes, either of those two maps will be fine because as you said, both are compatible and have meta's available.

To understand the differences between the two maps, read the tutorial

Either map will easily fit on the internal drive as they are about 2GB or less but if you want to put a map on the SD card, copy ttgo.bif from the internal drive to the SD as well as FastActivate...then activate from there
