Hi,
I was looking at the alert sounds in TomTom and there's not much to choose from and they basically sound all the same. I would like to have a sound that stands out from the rest, E.g. a submarine dive sound as compared to a light "ding - ding" sound.

Can additional sounds be placed in TomTom alerts or is one stuck with what's available in there?

I had a look at the soundbible, some interesting sounds, however, I could not find any way to save sound as mp3 or other file. Only as html. Hmmm, not sure about that site.

Click on the name of the sound file you're interested in > a new page opens > the sound plays & shows a choice of two files (wav or mp3) > click on the one you want to download



Anyway, it doesn't matter where you get the sound file from, the main point is knowing what the sound parameters need to be to work on your TT as described in the first link from TT
So once you've got the file you want, you'll probably need to re-encode to the TT specs so it'll work...it's pretty easy mate

My apologies, instead of clicking on the name of the sound, I was clicking on the listen , no wonder a new page never popped up.

I tried again and clicked on the actual name of the alert sound and yes I do have a new page pop up as you had shown.

Always learning something new.
