9.053 will be fine. I have it on a 720.
For quality control reasons, Navitotal does not offer support for anything from another site.
ALL navcores in the "Latest Navcore" thread are pre-patched.

that 8.351 navcore is fine....

if you upgrade to a version9 navcore, you'll get newer looking icons....

It makes no difference at all. djc's suggestion of 9.103 or my suggestion of 9.053 are good. You can't tell the difference between the 2.

so im about to do my brothers tom tom but before i do a couple more questions

if he wanted to keep his current navcore and just put on new maps am i right in thinking his navcore needs patched, if so is this just a case of running fast activate for the ttsystem file on his device

when patching a navcore on the device already do you add new maps before, after or at the same time as patching

also can you have patched and unpatched maps on the same device

does it make any difference to how to patch maps if you have them on the SD card rather than the device

thanks again for all the help

  • Yes you will need to patch the ttsystem if you keep the origional navcore
  • It does not matter witch you patch first aslong as you patch both
  • yes you can have patchd and unpatchd maps on at the same time but if you run the keygen with the unpatchd map on aswell it will patch that map as well as the downloaded map , so to do this run the keygen with the origional map off then after the keygen has run copy the origional map across
  • Ther is no diffrence sd card or internal as long as there is a copy of your ttgo.bif on the sd card, you can copy it across from the internal memory

1. You are correct.

2. Since the new map must be patched also, add it before you start patching

3. Yes, by leaving the internal navcore & maps unpatched & putting a patched navcore & map on a SD card.

4. You can patch maps on a card, if you have a navcore or a copy of the devices ttgo.bif file on the card also.

thought i would post some feedback on how things went
1. I could not get it to activate any maps on the SD,formatted the card then copied over the ttgo.bif file from the device to the card and it didn't activate either of the 2 maps on the card.At first i thought it was because i copied the maps onto the card while the card was in a card reader and not the device, so started again with the card in the tom tom but again nothing. As soon as i transfered the map to the device and ran fast activate it patched it and the speed cams no problem
2.Fast activate caused lots of issues, like when i did it on my PC(vista 64) on the other PC (window7)it also showed fast act to have a trojan virus so would not let it create the wbusy files to patch things, so with AV off i tried again and it allowed the program to run, but after i realised the maps on the SD card had not patched, i tried to fast act again (with AV still off) ,but this time it would not run could not create the W busy files needed, The only soloution i could find was to put fast act on the device and run it with AV off to pacth the maps. Then remove fast act from the device . Then have to instal fast act again later to try to patch maps on another SD card (tried 2 x SD cards neither wokerd even though TT home could see them fast act could not.

hope this makes sense, feel free to ask questions and maybe we can bottom the issues i had for future users

thanks

EDIT

should fast act have been on the SD card to patch the maps on there????????? if so its offical i am a Thicko why didn't i think to try that:think::think::think:

why you not put Wbusy.exe trusted (ignore) application in your AV? it is not troijan/Virus.... it is only progress bar program
Can I ask what is your AV program?
