Thanks for the link. I'm not overly concerned by them, but it's handy to know.

Steve, do the 790 ANPR's contain the earlier 546? I really don't see the point in these because after all ANPR's are literally there to pick up people with:

A. No tax,
B. No MOT,
C. No insurance,
D. Outstanding arrest warrants.

So unless any of those apply to you, then you have absolutely no need for them. Still, can't help but put them on.

Yes as far as i know, I look into this as a friend of mine just bought a car and was worried that he may have been picked up by one before he got all his paperwork in order,
Also with the new paperless Tax Disk and paying by Direct Debit if there was a problem with the bank you might get caught without Tax!

They introduced paperless registration (taxdisc) in South Australia when I was living there and it was a nightmare, people going interstate were being booked by the cops in those states. Also ANPR cameras were getting people on the renewal day because payment was not taken until close of business that day. 1 bloke I worked with picked up $1400 worth of fines in 1 day just going to and from work.

Thinking about this, I reckon there at least a couple of hundred alone in the city I live, making these file woefully incomplete.
