3. Windows will only overwrite files that are common to both setups. There are always files that are not common to both & don't get overwritten, hence the disc space issue.

2. I understand the windows overwrite thing but when just trying to copy back and overwrite, it didn't seem to even want to overwrite files with a common name. That is what I'm used to.
