you copy fastActivate [x]:\ directory, same directory where is your ttgo.bif (x is your tomtom)

Where do I get that ttgo file? It says in instructions it creates that file but where does it put it? Can anyone just walk me through after I install navcore and ssytem and navigator file. What am I doing after that? I install the fastactive file directly to my tomtom and then do what???

tomtom make bif file automatic when start
if you cant start it now try to install navcore again, check map folder and remove mapsettings.cfg from maps directory

or just try automatic navcore installer

Lets start from scratch. Navcore installed it right into the tomtom drive then I installed the ssystem and navigator file directly into the tomtom. After that i clicked eject on tomtom home and let it load to home screen then did a reset on the bottom of the unit. I start it back up hook it up to tomtom home again and load the active exe file into the tomtom directly and then from there it open the active program and has the 4 buttons to click on. meta, maps, ssystem/navigator and tomtom home. Do I click on any of those buttons? I have and after I do then again I eject the tomtom from tomtom home let it load to main screen then reboot from the bottom of the unit. Where in these steps am I going wrong?

after installing nav and those to spare files keep it docked and just power down and then power back up and let it connect to tomtom home and then install the active file and then just shut the unit off again and restart it? Question is what your saying is dont do a hard reset correct? and after installing that active file when that program pops up do I leave those options alone where it has the 4 buttons to click? leave those alone?

Sat Dec 25, 2010 10:37 pm

this is what im going by after i i install navcore and the two spare files. Note 4: If you are doing a fresh install on internal memory of navcore and map then you will need to restart the unit once after the installation of navcore
Before you try and patch the map because your unit will then generate the needed ttgo.bif file for the keygen to read. Also if you are installing to
a sd card rather than the internal memory the same applies you will need to insert the sd card into the tomtom device and reboot before you patch the
map so it generates the needed ttgo.bif file.

You are not doing a fresh install, so forget Note 4.

ok so after i install navcore and the two spare files go right for actvie file and install and then run it? Do I reboot as in shut the unit off? and when that active program comes up and gives me the 4 options to click do I leave those alone and not click anything?

Sat Dec 25, 2010 11:01 pm

I get all that. #3 when it says run it pops up the program with the buttons to choos from. Leave those alone correct? and after that just eject the unit without shutting it down?

1. Plug your tomtom device with the USB to your PC or card reader

2. Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root directory for all product activation

3. Run "FastActivate.exe"

4. Done...

So I did exactly as you said and it still freezes on the main screen. Then after that I reloaded navcore into the tomtom again and then it said couldnt use my map. im using v8.6 the latest one out as of right now. Again I did everything you said. Where am I going wrong?

So I did the (automatic navcore insaller) It worked perfectly. Im running the 9.2 navcore version on my tomtom 720 but my question now is when I plug into TT Home and try to log in with my account it says something about this tomtom isn't recognized or not running the correct version etc. Should I run the active file from winrar and click on the button that says tomtom home? will that patch them? And one more question? are you able to use the live services being tomtom 720 doesnt have a modem or wireless networking card?

1. To fix version error.
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
"Save as" ttgo.bak
Disconnect & reboot.

Follow these instructions EXACTLY. Do no more and no less.

Live services - NO.
