So, is that just a statement or do you actually have a question?

Well, why do you think TT produces a new series of maps every 3 months?
New roads, changed roads, changed speed limits....
I don't really think using an older map would result in better navigation...

You ask for EU maps but refer to an advise in regards to the France map.
If you would check the map thread you know why a 905 France map was suggested ;)

it appears your implying that the newer the better

when i was informed for a french map the 905 version would be better than the 910

i do want western europe maps i was wondering which would be the best for me

There is only one Western Europe map in the map editions....
The chart tells you on what NC the work...
Seems you don't really understand the concept.

What do you expect me to do?
Hold your hand while browsing through the map thread or use Teamviewer to show you?
Maybe the question is not what you want but what you understand about TT's....
There is only one Western Europe map, map features are an entirely different thing - that's why we have the map chart.
Neither the France 4892 nor the WEU 4892 have a meta code - so again what more infos do you need that the map thread and chart can't answer?

The TT Team tries to give our members the best maps available for their TTs. Your 530 is designed to use the FULL FEATURED maps. The only available 910 map for France is a NO FEATURE version, so the suggestion was made for you to use the 905 FULL FEATURE map of France.

NONE of the 4 WE 910 edition maps with meta codes are FULL FEATURE versions. Downunder is telling you that, if you check the map/navcore compatibility chart, you would see this.
May I suggest that you acquire a 4GB or larger SDHC card, then load FULL FEATURED Europe_910_4892 [2440MB] on it. You will then have current FULL FEATURED coverage anywhere that you want to go in Europe.
