Are you using a USB cable or a card reader?

AutoActivate/FastActivate does not work when the device is connected via Activesync/WMDC, Use a card reader

On Vista/Win 7 WMDC copies AutoActivate/FastActivate from the device to a temporary folder on the PC and runs it from there...

i forgot to mention. i dont actually have a proper card reader. the gps has one. so the only way i was able to run it was to copy and activate it thru the gps device sd slot. is there any other way around this?
