Bluetooth, TT One XL-S and trying to pair with an HTC Touch

Fri Oct 07, 2011 7:21 pm

This is all getting to be just way to much fun. :-)
I'm trying to bluetooth connect to my HTC Touch Pro. Why? Because I think I can.
My TT does find my phone and tries to do something then comes up with a message about something needed not being either on my phone or not correct and doesn't pair.

My Touch Pro is stock and running WM6.1 still. Am I missing something in the bluetooth setup or do I need some sort of app or file for my Touch Pro to allow this to work.
I have no problems using BT headsets and I also have no problems doing data connection sharing via BT using WinMobile WiFi sharing.

Maybe my TP is just not compatable with my TT. :-)

Thanks in advance,,

All I have ever needed to do is set the phone to the discovery mode.

Yea, did that, it "see's" the phone and tries to do it's thing but comes up with a red screen telling me basically it doesn't like my phone. I'll try again when I get home and shoot a pic of the message.

I just figured it was my older TP or something until we also tried to pair to my son's BB 9000 and it didn't want to pick up the data connection.

BTW, off hand, do you know what exactly can be done via the BT connection to a TT ONE XL-S? This isn't really covered in the manuals.

BTW, Has anyone ever successfully paired an HTC Touch Pro (not a TP II) with a TomTom?
