peebee wrote:Can someone advise me re differences in my .bif & .ori files re the version of Bootloader that is shown.
The .bif shows a Bootloader Version of 10012 - Linux Version 1000.
The .ori file shows a Bootloader Version of 55250 - Linux Version 547200.
The .ori file is correct. How do I update the Bootloader in the .bif to correspond ?.
Map version 875.3613
Navcore 9.205.547817
TTom 720
For Information my original .bif before I upgraded maps and navcore was -:
Bootloader :55120
LinuxVersion : 303268
Using the TomTom and looking at the device info it also confirms the bootloader as version 55250, so why is the .bif different ?.
Thanks
They are not reading the same, because you having manually changed them. BAD MOVE!!!
Repeating the instructions from Post 4 of your "TT Home Bif File" thread. Before you follow these instructions. Delete all 3 files ttgo.bif, ttgo.bak, & ttgo.ori. Reboot. Now you have a clean & correct ttgo.bif file.
To fix the version error message.
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
Save this change by clicking "File" in the upper left corner of windows explorer, then "Save as" ttgo.bak. At this point, there is only a ttgo.bak file in the root, no ttgo.bif.
Disconnect & reboot. Now you will have a ttgo.bak, a ttgo.bif & a ttgo.ori file in the root & no error message.
These 3 files will now be EXACTLY the same, including the bootloader, with 1 exception.
ttgo.bif lines 9 & 10:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
ttgo.bak lines 9 & 10:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
ttgo.ori lines 9 & 10:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
