Hi guys,

I’m lorry driver in UK. From the beginning I’ve used TomTom GO520 with Navcore 9.702 with little bit old map Europe_Truck_1011_8983 Unfortunately my GO520 wasn’t treated by myself well and I had to find new one.

I thought about same GO520 but I found auction with brand new GO720 and I won it for 42 pounds + postage!

Yesterday I’ve received device and I’ve updated by TT Home. That’s was bad decision because after update I couldn’t open orginal map. I didn’t do backup and I removed all files from device memory and I copied all files from my old GO520. Once I copied it all I switched 720 on and Navcore works fine. I can see same welcome logo and etc. but I’ve got information that I can’t use this map.

For me is strange because I was sure that 520 and 720 is exactly same device and if I copy all files everything should works fine but not.

Guys, any advice what I can do ?? Thanks

You need to re-crack/activate the map so it can run on the new device

Thank you for advice. Could you tell me please how to do it? I guessing that I need to use fastactivate for it, isn’t?

It’s funny because about two months ago I uploaded new map and now I can’t remember anything.

I copied fastactive and ttgo.bif in the map folder then used option 1,2 and 3 in fastactive.

I can see updated_meta file in the map folder.

I did it but still same information “you can’t use these map on this device”. Any help? Please guys

Is there a .meta AND a .meta.dct file in the map folder? If not then that F/A probably doesn't include the meta code for your map in which case try the new Alt_F_A from post #18 here:- viewtopic.php?f=81&t=20956&start=15

I just have noticed that when I patch map I have got error: Europe_Truck-101606.meta => .dct ERROR

And when I updating meta.txt processing window just close after longer while without any success info.

I’m using fastactive 23.06.2017

I have only .meta and .tmeta buddy

There are some current known problems with the original FastActivate so try my Alternative as mentioned above

1) Copie the *chosen map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

How to read the chart.

2) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your device (the root)

Run "FastActivate.exe".
     Select 1
After 1 go to the root and rename the file
Updated_meta in
meta
Select 2
Select 3 till the message
OK System patched
Done.

before I use alternative tool to patch it.

I copied map folder to my desktop then I putted in the map folder fastactive and ttgo.bif , option 2 (patch map) and I used different map with dct files.

and very strange is that I can run both sd cards with map on my old 520. Even with ttgo.bif from my 720 inside

Okay guys! All done!

Problem was with meta update. Fastactive doesn’t generate updated_meta and this is why I couldn’t open map on my new device. I copied updated meta from different map and it works.

As I always say; NOW do a full Windows backup!
