By the way, I had another One 3rd Ed. in my hands today.
I put Downunder's 9.450 NC on it which looks neat but with Europe_1GB_South it only left me with 6Mb of spare storage space with GB's zip-codes removed.

3. the device was intended for use on shortest term for Australian guests in the Netherland so I though it best to keep it a clean and straightforward as possible.
4. I did inform him about (especially) Downunder's modded NC's
5. Due to TT One 3rd Ed.'s limited storage of 1GB, one has little option in maps. Only 910_4852 for Europe regions.
6. The subject balonie2 appeared happy and content when he got a gps fix on this new map
tendriver wrote:1. Are you 100% certain??
2. I didn't see or read any signs of this in any of balonie2's posts.
3. The revelance is???
4. Thanx.
5. The revelance is???
6. I would expect this reaction from a inexperienced Noob!

Yes, I like to wok my routes with noodles but afterwards I remove the 16 MB Chinese.ttf.tendriver wrote:Are you aware that 9.450 is an ASIAN navcore???

The subject balonie2 appeared happy and content when he got a gps fix on this new map and I left him alone wishing him and his parent's guest happy days.
balonie2 wrote:1. The Europe_West map was patched with FA, but when I opened the ttgo.bif file, it still said that there was no map (Map=[empty] and Map version = 0.0)
Probably, the problem was in my TT and not in the map itself.
2. I didn't put this in any of my posts because I wouldn't want to bother you with that. However, when talking with razorblatter privately, I did got frustrated that it didn't got fixed as fast as it should be.
3. No relevance, just extra information where Razorblatter explains why he did what he did.

5. He probably wanted to say that if I installed one of Downunder's modded NC's, I won't be able to do a lot extra, because I only have 1GB and those NC's were better for higher storages? (is what I heard, not sure though).
6. What? I was happy because it took longer than expected to repair my TT. I followed the steps in your threads but without success.
I would still like to thank everyone who put effort in helping me. Thanks for your time.
balonie2 wrote:So I reinstalled it, but then I patched the NC with FA?
1. Does this still mean it is an older version than possible?
2. And what are the disadvantages of the 8.XXX Navcore and old icons?
3. Is there a fast way to update this, or is this unnecessary?
Razorblatter wrote:1. I think it is also the opinion of downunder that the official NC of a TT is the one best suited for it.
That original and pure NC is exactly what balonie2's got.
So no sour dish is being presented.
2. In the case of a 1 Gb device one has got very limited advantages with using 'higher' maps and about the only win in this situation would be refreshed icons...
The loss is over 50 MB precious storage space because of a grown NC and swap file.
3. One can use a small map and profit from a thing like ALG. Than it surely makes sense and I favour downunder's work.
