SD Card Format FAT/NTFS

Postby mchhapadia » Sun Mar 20, 2016 3:08 pm

Hello,

I've moved to a 8 GB SD card from 1 GB card for my TomTom ONE as I need Europe maps.

I've got the new card working for my existing map and now copying the full EUROPE MAP to the new card after downloading.

The message I am getting is "the file cline.dat has properties that can't be copied to the new location".

Just wonder whether anybody else has got this before?

I'd looked on google and it says because we are copying to a drive which is FAT file format. any idea which format the new SD card should be?

Many thanks in advance.

thanks fredderf.

Should I be getting the "the file cline.dat has properties that can't be copied to the new location" error while copying the map to SD card?

This is something that happens when transferring files from NTFS to FAT/FAT32 - ignore the message and you should be ok
