Carminat Live Navcore 9.844 patching and map activation

It can't be installed, so it won't change anything.

any updates on this? Is it by any chance possible to replace the map on the original SD with an device ID activated new map and use it in the carminat without patching the navcore?

I guess not right?

You can only use maps from a dealer on SD that have a .MCT for the activation.
Maps with the classic .DCT file will only work in the device it was purchased for.

Hi, in the last few days I have made several tests on the Carminat TomTom LIVE.
First I bought at a car dealership a new SD card. This can be fitted on any car with Carminat TomTom and it works immediately. Presents the file. Mct not. Dct (but this was already mentioned).
With what software I could read the file. Mct?
If the virgin SD card works on all cars there must be an explanation ....
Then I copied all the files in a Tomtom SD SDHC 4GB, but when I inserted the device did not recognize me the maps.
PSSO do other tests as they are still in possession of the Virgin SD.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the SD uses a .MCT file for the activation.
This activation is not linked to any device ID but to the CID of the SD the map came on.
We would need a keygen that reads the CID of a SD and creates a genuine MCT file - Problem is the same as with the DCT: there is no keygen that works without patching of the NC.

And do you think you can downgrade the NC to 8.843?
I'm not interested in Live Services.

Hi Downunder35m,
do you think it's possible the downgrade of the Navcore from 9.844 to 8.842?

No to ma knowledge as the NC stays in the internal memory and if you try to install a lower version it will be refused.

Hi,
I have 9.843 NC.

I understand that I can install a patched 9844 NC but then there isn't the right keygen, is it right?

Thanks.

Nope, not entirely correct.
It only seems the Navcore is installed but the device does not update the files on the internal memory, so no use of our maps is possible.

So does the device starts with the NC on SD card? If it is so, why cann't we use patched maps?

Because it will still use the ttsystem/pndnavigator from the internal (unpatched) system.
