TT Carminat Navcore 9.844 - How to load another NC ?

Postby arnaud123 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:42 pm

Hi everybody,

Let me introduce myself.
I'm french and bought a scenic 2011 in Germany.
I have a TT carminat 9.844 ... with a Germanic map !
So i have 3 solutions :
- move to germany !
- buy a European map
- install by myself a European Map
But, before buying an official map, i would like to try the 3rd solution (challenge)

I rode with interrest the Thread about "Carminat Live Navcore 9.844 patching and map activation"
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?7180-Carminat-Live-Navcore-9.844-patching-and-map-activation&highlight=carminat+9.844+crack
Unfortunatly, we have today no solution to patch a NC 9.844

If the NC 9.844 is installed on your TT, it seems that :
- the directory Install/ds1 isn't used as the directory where TT will upload a new NC
- to install a new version of a NC, TT needs the ttsystem.ib (80Mb) and splashw.bmp in the root SD cards

So i'm wondering myself that if we are abble to modify directly the files included in ttsystem.ib we may inject a NC 8 and then succed to activate maps with present tools (keygen).

But i didn't find the way to read the structure of ttsystem.ib.

1 - is ttsystem.ib an InterBase file ?
2 - does soemone succed in reading/writting the ttsystem.ib ?
3 - does what i explain or suppose make sense ?
4 - does someone know another method to return to NC 8

Ciao

There is already a thread for this topic.
To make it short and close this one:
At the current stage all you can do is buy a map from TT.
