Hi, bebe1310
I would recommend to install 9.845 along only.
To this end, you can consider the following steps:
1) remove ttsystem from SD and put SD card in the car. Let it accept other updates (i.e. let it work for at least few minutes). Then remove SD card by using Carminat menu.
2) Insert SD card into PC. Check for the updates and, with a pray  , install on SD the updte 9.845 only. Remove SD card by using TT Home menu.
3) Consult with your car dealer: whether or not you navigator is covered by the insurance? If so, you have nothing to lose - put your SD card into the car (don't forget to start engine) and pray again. Remove SD card by using Carminat menu only and check on PC that 9.845 is installed (system info in TT Home).

[Please Register or Login to download file]
the beginning of the file is ROOT ENTRY. So, this file is not the key of installation of navcore?

For all with fears about insurance:
By commom law the Carminat is part of the car and it's features.
Unsless stated otherwise in the contract for your car the GPS has the same warranty as the rest of the car.
Having said that it is the dealers responsibility to keep the GPS up to date and with latest maps (for the maps you still might have to pay depending on the conditions of sale).
So if by default the dealer does not do that the safest way is to ask why and to remind him of his duties!
The reason more and more cars are fitted with good name brand GPS systems is that in the old days you bought a car with GPS only to find out the company no longer exists!
I know for a fact that most Renault dealer get several SD cards with new maps each round for their customers - so you might want to ask why Ranault gets the new maps only to refuse to give them to the customers with the corresponding cars ;)

It's the procedure, which is recommended officially by TomTom. However, the OFFICIAL 9.845 upgrade breaks navigator for some users (presumably those, who HELPED TomTom to improve the maps by providing them the map corrections). Don't ask me why TomTom has decided to punish those customers. :unknw_mini:

As for the insurance. New car is covered by three years insurance for main hardware parts.
TomTom is providing only ONE year insurance for the navigator. I have two years old car. Thus, it is unclear who will pay for the broken navigator, even if it is broken by the official TomTom's upgrade. I have suspicious that I will have to pay for everything: new navigator, installation, post expenses.
As to the map update - only the first map is provided at SD card. The newer maps for Carminat Live can only be bought by using TT Home. I saw in the TomTom website the SD cards with the maps for Carminat, but I doubt that it will work in Carminat Live - I know one complain. Thus, the map update is the user responsibility, rather than the responsibility of car dealer.

I think I can help you with this warranty desater:
Every customer has the legal right of free repair/replacement of a faulty device after the warranty period.
This was ruled now by many courts over the world -even in Australia!
In lame mans terms it means that a device has an expected lifetime in which it simply has to perform to standard.
For TV's and frigdes this is set to 5 years for axample, in case of high value items even higher, especially if the manufactorer claims to sell good quality products.
They are all aware about it but try to fool the customer into resolving it through the manufactorer but the shop where you bought it has the responsibilty to take care of it.
The specific problem with Renault is that they offer the GPS without an explizit statement that it is in fact not a part of the car.
It is a third party addon like you would prefer a Pionned steroe instead of the default one.
Since all this is only mentioned in the fineprints, if at all, you have a more than good chance to get your warranty over the legal way even after 3 years.

Without at least a few people that are willing to work a bit with the packed files and included images I can't do much - I have no device to test /confirm.
And since I'm still happy with my 730 I don't intent buying a Carmnat just to try breaking a Navcore ;)

It does not work indeed.
Still the open question is whether or not it's possible to install a map into Carminat Live
by using the full image of the original SD before the usage.
