Trying to put new maps on to my Carminat Tomtom without success. I presently have UK and Ireland 860.3123 but looking to put on Europe 860.3123.
My navcore is 8842 carminat_tomtom
I have checked on tomtom home for Europe map and it tells me Europe 860.3123 is compatable.
I have downloaded this. I have followed various tutorials on the Carminat system about starting with a blank sd card and building new. I have patched the pndnavigator with alberts and the map too.

I keep getting the message - problem with map, you cannot use the map on this device.

I have also downloaded western europe 860.3123 but get the same message after patching.

Can anyone post a "how to" around this.

Confirm that the maps have a .meta.dct file after patching.

Yeah I have checked both maps and they have meta.dct after patching.

Got it sorted. Not sure where I was going wrong but I started from scratch again tonight and its working. I just followed the thread from this forum about building a new card from scratch. One possible reason for earlier failure was when I was inserting the new sd card into the carminat system it had already booted itself without a card in it and this has some bearing on the loopdir folder.
