You have to configure the switchfiles correctly in order to get computer voices working with a SE NC on your device - see tutorials or the readmenot.
The 9.450 with memory that I posted in the forum should work fine on your device and give sound as well - check the instructions provided.
Keep in mind the you should overwrite your existing (working) setup so that you have the files you need.
If not already done you need to activate the map - the NC is already patched.

When I put the 9.450 on it worked to start with but seemed slow, so I did some deleting as said in the instructions, so i think I messed up a little.
the one I put on is working ok except for the sound. Map is activated as well .

Did you follow Downunder's instructions to put your working navcore 8083 back on your v9, confirm that you have sound, THEN copy the "new" navcore over the top of it, overwriting any common files and folders??

Why delete files if it was working?
As mentioned in the download posting: the device will be very slow during first few minutes after a fresh start because the swap file is created.
Usually after the first start this "delay" will be much shorter.
It is one of the downsides if you want to use the lastes NC with all possible features on old devices that only offer 32mb ram.
