.dct ERROR

Hello everybody.

I've been following these topics with great curiosity and now i've come to a problem myself.

A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to update her tomtom maps.

I've followed the update steps as mentioned in an tutorial here on another topic.
When I run fastactivate it shows me the Central_and_East_Europe-101351.meta=> .dct ERROR

Here are the specs of the tomtom:

[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceVersionHW=XL IQ Routes Edition
DeviceSerialNumber=RS5-------
DeviceUniqueID=AKTY---------
RamDiskVersion=20091130
BootLoaderVersion=55136
LinuxVersion=473972
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9025
ApplicationVersion=477770.2
UserLanguage=Nederlands
UserName=
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=2.15.0 65947

The maps I've downloaded is Central_and_Eastern_Europe_1000_8645

I have update the fastactivate included update the meta files.
I have also copied the fastactivate into the root of the tomtom device.
According to the compatibility chart these maps should work.

Is there something I've done wrong? Or am I missing something?

You've missed something...

Before you begin to download any map, you should check it has a meta code already released so it can be activated.

The map you've downloaded doesn't.

Thanks for your quick response fredderf.
I really thought these meta codes were already out.

The only meta's we have are the ones where somebody has bought the map and generously shared the meta with us.
To get a better understanding of the process, read the tutorial

I'd recommend you download Central_and_Eastern_Europe 1005_8763
It's a newer map, has better features and does have a meta code already released so you'll be able to activate it.
