Make a backup of your current set up with Windows Explorer.
1. Your navcore is way out of date. 8.351 is current for your unit. Update with TT Home.
2. You want Eastern Europe 850.2781 [203MB], not 850.2782. You will need least a 4GB SD card for this map.
2. Download FastActivate: http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2011-FastActivate_09.07.2010&p=7867#post7867 Read the instructions in this post.

After you have updated your navcore & copied the new map to a SD card, run FastActivate to patch the navcore & map.

If you are successful, then you can update your navcore even more.

Thanks for your quick response! I have updated App to 8.351.
Could I ask why 850.2782 is not the right map to use?And if thereis a map with both Central and East Europe?
I do have a 4G card for my 720.Thanks!

850.2782 is not a full featured map. 850.2781 is full featured.

These full featured maps are available in the 850 map Sticky thread.
Eastern Europe 850.2781 [203MB]
Central Europe 850.2781 [1.29GB]

Help!
1.I updated navcore with TT Home to 8.351
2. Downloaded Central & Eastern Europe 850.2781 [865MB].
3. Download FastActivate: http://www.navitotal.com/forums/show...=7867#post7867 and copied the new map to a SD card, run FastActivate to patch the navcore & map.

Now I can use the map in TThome. Not on Tomtom 720.

Something did not get patched. Did you follow this instruction?

Note 4: If you are doing a fresh install on internal memory of navcore and map then you will need to restart the unit once after the installation of navcore
Before you try and patch the map because your unit will then generate the needed ttgo.bif file for the keygen to read. Also if you are installing to
a sd card rather than the internal memory the same applies you will need to insert the sd card into the tomtom device and reboot before you patch the
map so it generates the needed ttgo.bif file.

Look in the map folder for a meta.dct file. No file = no patch.

And run it device/SD-Card root directory, if you have problem try right click "run as administrator" (Vista/7)

Thanks. I have no problem using FastActivate. I put it into both SD CARD and device and run twice. And now my tomtom keeps rebooting...:helpsos:

Do a hard reset by holding in the reset button on the bottom of the case for 30 sexc.
