edit dsa navcore 9.205

Postby dieselman » Tue Sep 25, 2012 9:20 pm

my old rider with downunders dsa 9.205 and 895-4438 maps has just done 1800 miles around all of ireland without a single hitch.
i,m lending this device to a friend and would like to edit out the x30 and x 40 emulations from the menu as it doesn't function well in either of these modes, so i don't want it possible for him to select them.
there are no skins folder in the navcore like there is in the 9.450 of downunders, only an extras folder with some skin files in.
i removed two of these but all skin options were still available in the menu.there is also a reskin file which just has x50 written in it. i'm fairly sure this can be done so if you could point me in the right direction it would save me a lot of experimental time which i normally enjoy but my friend is needing this device very soon.

kind regards.

Look in the "sdkregistry" folder.

i know i'm not supposed to post thanks so delete this entry if you like, i know my friend is very inquisitive and he would have selected an emulation in the menu and not be able to get it back to self mode, so thanks for saving his journey. have now deleted all emulations but self mode, in sdkregistry folder.

The available emulations can be found in the file "reskin" (skins- folder).
The first two entris are always double and determine the current emulation, the other values are what is available in the skin chooser.
You can delete what you don't need or if you only need a single emulation you can delete the skinchooser .cap file inside the folder SDKREGISTRY.
