Postby Bigum » Wed Feb 02, 2011 1:31 pm

Hello all
I am New to this forum, and need a little help, I have tried to locate the solution to this problem in by searching posts to no avail

I have a TomTom One XL. I have updated the device with
Navcore 9.205.547817.1 Basicpack
ttsystem 9.205.547817.1
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_855_2884 Maps
Autoactive.
All is working just fine with the device itsself
EXCEPTWhen I connect to the PC I get the following error

Can anyone help in resolving this problem or point me in the right direction regarding previous Posts

ERROR: 573/#[Please Register or Login to download file] Error from server: You have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device. To use HOME you need to install the correct version of the TomTom application.

thanks

1. Your map is out of date. 860 maps are current.
2. FFR, that message is harmless. You can close it and continue with what you were doing in TT Home. If you wish to eliminate the message:

To fix version error.
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
"Save as" ttgo.bak
Disconnect & reboot.

I also have a similar problem.
My TomTom says that it is over a year old and I have now to pay for updates (Ipurchased it in August 2010).
I have tried to download HOME, but I cannot run it as it comes up ERROR.
I plug in my TT to my laptop, but nothing at all happens!!
Can someone please advise or should I contact TomTom direct.

Thanks,

1. You never have to pay for updates, except for services that you bought or came with the unit for X number of months free.
2. The error is ???
