Extracting Map Files

Fri May 30, 2014 2:25 am

I am downloading a TomTom map and it is in 8 parts. I am downloading the version with the automatic installer and patcher. Do I still need to extract and merge all of the parts together or can I just run the .exe file?

Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions: can be found in post 1 of the "All New Maps 930/931.XXXX" thread or post 2 of the "930/931 Map Collections Only!!" thread.

I read all of the instructions and was confused. The part where it tells you to extract the files is outside of the Automatic Installer & Patcher. So the Automatic Installer & Patcher will automatically extract all of the files and do everything for me?

Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions:
Maps with “Automatic Installer & Patcher” are a Navitotal Exclusive Product.
Before you begin, back up your primary memory, either internal or SD card.
If you use a SD or SDHC card for additiomal storage only, then you need a copy of your device's ttgo.bif on this card before patching.
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sd card in your sd reader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched.

Seems pretty clear to me.
