combat goofwing wrote:when using fast activate for maps and you already have the meta code where do you place the code on the device is it in the root memory or in the map file ?

thanks for any help

if you have meta code what is not in integrated meta.txt or downloaded meta.txt then you must put it mymeta.txt and put it same folder with FastActivate.exe file

if you have meta code what is not integrated and downloaded meta.txt, send it for as too :-)

and if you mean already legal DCT files all old overwriten.....you must get backup copy before you run that program

the long meta txt file that you get with a new map like this example ; United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_850_2782
D8 25 BE 93 B7 43 EA EA A9 BC C7 52 C5 B3 15 79 United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-162.meta

in keygen you would enter it in a part of the program with fast act where do you put it?

Suggestion #1; automatic update for FastActivate

example let's say i'm using a previous release like --> FastActivate_ENG_12.07.2010_Premium_edition
upon launching it,
FastActivate would say something like ** NEW VERSiON 16.07.2010 AVAiLABLE **
and it would update to --> FastActivate_ENG_16.07.2010_Premium_edition automatically!!

Suggestion #2; A little eye candy

The password for FastActivate ENG 22.07.2010 version 1.2 doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm using WinRar.

Hi there, I’m new and a bit of a simpleton at this; kinda. Either way I seem to be having a problem.

I have an oldish, Tomtom1XL pretty much got it as soon as it came out, running just UK maps.

Anyway, in the past I’ve had to buy/install my voices the proper way (or the easy way, copy and paste). Anyway was looking into getting something a bit better, so I grabbed the spongebob one off a thread on this site, thought it would be good for a laugh. Anyway, I shove it on, and then noted I had to use this .exe to install it properly, so I’ve placed it in the root dir as stated, I ran it, (not sure it did anything, but it did produce some confusing meta files), anyway click the "update voices/whatever" button, it did something and I turned off the tomtom and turned it back on.

Oh my! So it's removed Burt Reynolds from my list of available voices, hmms, but it kept John Cleese. It didn't seem to do anything to the spongebob, install or patch or anything, so that doesn't work on my tomtom. HOWEVER! If I start my tomtom home, and have the device plugged in, the application recognizes that Burt Reynolds is installed, and even that spongebob is too, I even backed them up onto the computer. However my tomtom will not use them, doesn’t even show up on my device. I tried to reinstall them from the computer onto the device, no go, nothing happened no change.

What am I doing wrong here? I'm not sure I understand this application all too well, it's very confusing for such a simple app, I mean, what on earth is a meta file? I guess it’s just data, but I’m worried that updating that file anymore will miff more stuff up.

Any ideas? sorry to waffle on!

Hi a meta file is like a copyright protection sort of thing like a code/password witch activates the voice/map/cam or whatever else needs a meta, Exucuting a keygen using a meta code will create a file in the voice or map folder which ever you are patching with the extension of .dct this is what makes the copyrighted material work. This Keygen has all the voice metas pre-installd so you only need to press button "Activate maps/voices/speedcams" very simple

 • copy the .exe to your root dir.
 • run the .exe
 • Press "Activate maps/voices/speedcams"

But make shure you make a full backup with explorer first, as if you have genuine maps or voices installed it will also create a .dct for those, also if there is unofficiall voices installed that does not require a meta code with the same name as an officiall voice eg "data98" it will create a .dct file for that unofficiall voice and this will make the voice unusable, this is what has happnd to your dissapearing voices.

Hope this answers your questions , feel free to come back with more questions if needed

thanks
