AutoActivate & FastActivate 1.8.8.1 Auto will not patch the navcore ttsystem file and Fast will, provided the navcore is an official version for your device.
it sends to a post that sends to a dead link...

Hi,
I would like to download fastactivate, but it seems to be cryptically hidden. No instructions any where on how to download it, just heaps of misleading links to click on. If its money where do I pay for it, if its downloadable please help me and show me the way forward as I am totally lost in what to do next.
thanks & regards
Gavin

Hi,
Can someone help me on this?
i was trying to obtain the current version of FastActivate. I was directed to another webpage with 2 files. One file is with Zippyshares and the other with Uploaded or some similar name.
I managed to obtain the 1st part of the file 4.88Mb after deactivating my firewall otherwise I could not obtain the file. The other file is with a German worded webpage, after translating the page to English it basically says, no free slots available at the time, try later of buy premium.
The other file is also 4.88Mb. I have difficulty in obtaining this second file. Dose anyone have the full file they could upload? Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Bondy

Hi,
I've installed a new map on my TomTom and successfully patched it using FastActivate update June 09. 2013.
Only thing that is not working is the fuelprice functionality (keeps stating Not Available).
Any Idea's on that?

Confirm you have created a FuelStationsEU.ov2.dct file in the map folder by patching the FuelStationsEU.ov2 file. Confirm that you have a FuelStationsEU.fpf file in the map folder created by deleting the number from the file of the type fuel that you use.

Hi tendriver,
Thanks for your quick replay!
Some more info from my side.
I have a active Live subscription, but had a old map (still on the SD card).
I've downloaded the newest map (unofficial) and used the fast activate tool.
After that I was able to update and get fresh Safety Fuel prices etc. from TomTom home.
After that I've used fast activate again to patch.
After your hint I've looked in the new map dir and found that the .fpf files where missing.
I've copied them from the old map (they were updated after patching) and they seem to be working without patching using the new map!
Updated again via TomTom Home (got offered all files, fuel prices / quick fix / map share / safety cams)
They all seem to be updated in the old map dir and new map dir.
I did not run the fast activate tool after this.
Tried the nav and all seem to be working (including fuel prices)!
So Your hint helped me to solve the problem, thanks!
Just to be Shure, am I right in concluding that I don't have to run the fast activate tool after a update via TomTom Home?

Thanx for the update. You are correct. Since Fuel Price & Speed Cam meta codes never change & patching is device specific, patching the initial installation is all that is required, unless you change devices. Re-patching is not necessary when copying the Fuel & Cam files from an old map to a new map, if the new map is to be used in the same device.
