FastActivate - Help!!

Postby JohnnyPacket » Sun Aug 22, 2010 8:11 pm

I'm a real newbie to the world of TomTom, I have an integrated unit in my car that runs from an SD card via TomTom Home. What is the difference between FastActivate and AutoActivate? And which is the best option for my system??
Thanks in advance.

AutoActivate not longer exists.

FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0 Updated 29.10.2012 is the current version

I have run both these on my Tom Tom One New edition but the computer voices that i have on my sd card are still not available on the menu. It looks like I just cannot get them to work on this model. tried lots of navcores and currently using 9.061 which seems to go ok except for the above. No big deal but was hoping the 'AutoActivate' may have enabled it.

AutoActivate & FastActivate 1.8.8.1

Auto will not patch the navcore ttsystem file and Fast will, provided the navcore is an official version for your device.

1. Official TomTom VocalizerTTS & LoquendoTTS computer voices do not need patching.

Does your unit have a SD card only or Internal memory & a card slot?

Well I don't really know....If you start it up without a card then it shows a screen with a windows looking for a card....so maybe it does have...not sure. It looks like this model tom tom one new edition just doesn't handle computer voices no matter what navcore you use.

What do you mean "working link" ????
Apart from the fact that our Smod has the links in his signature right above your posting you find the topics in the map thread and in it's own section.
Same goes for the instructions, if you found the map you must have seen the links to the tools as well ;)

AutoActivate & FastActivate 1.8.8.1

Either one will patch your map.

1. Congrats!!
2. You are Welcome.
3. POI's, that are a part of your new map, are up to date. Did you have any 3rd party POI's in your old map?

The POI's, that you see, are a built-in part of the map. There is no seperate updating feature for them.

I have a tomtom XL with navcore 9.061. Im trying to install the map europe_south 880.3810 and run fast activate premium edition 1.8.8.0 but the gps allways says MAP NOT FOUND. The same map work great in another gps unit (tomtom start). Just doesnt work on XL model. I think 9.061 its compatible with 880.3810 map.

Can somebody help me please?

MAP NOT FOUND usually indicates that the navcore is not patched.
