fastactivate problem

Sat Jul 20, 2013 11:13 pm

Hi there,

Running fastactivate on my TT sd card none of the option is working.
Even on the option my device info fastactivator terminates
I've tried to run fastactivate from c-drive with TT connected, form c-drive with SD card in cardreader, on another PC but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone had these problems also and how to fix this.
I need to crack a new map for my device.....

The problem sits between keyboard and the back rest of the chair ;)
What I'm trying to say is : FA works fine the problem is on your end.

Put FastActivate & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file on the SD card & give it a go.

I've tried all this...
When I start FA from the c-drive it doesn't recognize the TT SD card (with ttgo.bif on it) when I run FA on the TT SD card it flashes a screen and quits the program !
This happens on my laptop and also on my PC.
In the past I have patched several maps successfully using FA so I don't think the problem sits between keyboard and the back rest of the chair !

Maybe not directly ;)
FA depends on several things, so maybe you blocked certain features using a blocker, AV program or firewall?

I've set all protection off for FA.
Even if I make a new directory with the map, FA and ttgo.bif it terminates when running one of the options.
The program starts normally and shows the menu items but choosing one of the items (it doesn't matter which item) the program stops without any message.

Open your ttgo.bif file & confirm that your device's full SerialNumber & full UniqueID are in lines 4 & 5.
Put FastActivate & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the map folder & give it a go. If your map still isn't patched, then you either have a bad map or a bad copy of FA.

I've done all that without succes.
Now I took a already pathched map deleted the dct-file.
I've put this map together with a new copy of FA and my ttgo.bif (with the correct information in line 4 & 5) in one directory but the program still terminates even if I choose the option "my device info" or "update meta.txt".

I also tried to put the ttgo.bif and FA in the map directory without succes.

The only option I can think of is to try this at another PC (my friend's PC).

Download this archive [Please Register or Login to download file]
It is Bobby's TT Tool for Windows.
Unpack to a folder on your PC.
Connect your TT and start the "ttoolwin.30.0.exe".
Click on "Select mounted Tomtom".
Your Device ID should show up in the keygen section a bit down.
Click on "Generate Keys" and you are done.
If you feel the need you can also update the QuickFix data.

Post the .meta file for the map that you are trying to patch. PM me with your device's SerialNumber & UniqueID.

I've got the map working thanks to Bobby's TT Tool for Windows
Downunder thank you.

I have Trend Micro and after several attempts where FA just suddenly disappeared I had to turn off ALL protection - then it worked perfectly.

Now set Trend Micro to ignore FastActivate.

try also to run the .exe file as ADMIN (right click on the file name), it has worked for me that way :)

The issue was his AV. Running as Admin would not have helped.
