Rebooting after a map update or changes to some map related files like POI's.
It is a common problem caused by the file "mapsettings.cfg" in your map folder.
To get a correct version of this file without loosing your favorites connect your Tomtom to
Tomtom Home and use "operate my Go" to manually add a favorite - you can choose any address you like.
Exit and restart your Tomtom which now has a rewritten "mapsettings.cfg" file.
If everything works fine you can delete the newly added "dummy" favorite.

Please explain "it wont let me operate my go". The thumbnail is too small to read, & enlarging it is no help.

Are you running a Truck/work navcore? If so, TT Home is not compatible with it.

on the old map i made a new poi category and named it" faves",then i clicked on add poi and chose one on my favourites i wanted to save and placed it in the new faves poi. did this for all my favourites
now all my old favourites are in a poi file which i can copy and paste into new map folder.
worked for me great so hope it helps others

Thanx. This is basically the same as TomTom.com's instructions for your 520.

We keep it hidden!!! But since it's the Christmas Season, here ya go.

LATEST POSTCODES Version 860 (GREAT BRITAIN AND NEDERLAND) Postcode v860

Extract and copy the "Zip" folder to the root of your SD card.

Just copy into navcore. FFR, when you first open up your card or internal memory, you are in the "root" directory.
