Followed any advise but still Loquendo Voices do not work

Postby bygass » Wed Nov 03, 2010 7:38 pm

I have got a Carminat Tom Tom. I have successfully installed on a new sd card the maps I need. On my original Tom Tom card I had Loquendo voices working perfectly. But there is no way to make tham work on the new card.
I have followed the istructions on this forum but no way.
What can it be?
Thanks for your help.

How much RAM does a Carminat systam have ? i ask this as i havnt had much experiance with those devices, but i do know LoquendoTTS will only work on a 64mb RAM device or higher, if a Carminat system has less than this you can run VocalizerTTS

It's impossible to help without knowing what is on your old card, and what is on the new card.

Sorry I did not receive notification on your msg. Sorry.
My Carminat Tom Tom has got 64 mb ram and TTS worked perfectly with original TOM TOm Renault SD card on, and it still does work if I go back to that card.
Sorry again for delay.
Thanks

Have you tried remove your LoquendoTTS folder then putting your sd card in a card reader with the new stuff installed to it then connecting to TomTom Home and installing LoquendoTTS that way ;)

Sorry tendriver, I mean do you want to know the folders, the files list, or a screenshot of the cards contents? I just want to give what you need to understand better the case. "What is in on your old card etc..." looks a bit generic. Thanks for helping me to help you to help me. ;-)

The navcore is 8.841 453398 and the map is europe 855_2938. No, after deleting Loquendo folder and installing by Tom Tom home it does not work.

I would erase everything from the new card, but the map folder. Copy everything except the map folder, from the old card to the new. Confirm that voice works, then copy the new navcore to the new card, overwriting any common files.

Thanks I will try and let you know. But may I just copy the new Navcore dowloaded from Navitotal in the new card without patching it? Thanks for your help.

Not if you plan on using a map downloaded from here.

So, since I am using a map dwnloaded from here, just copying "the new navcore to the new card overwriting any common files" as you suggest is not enough. Ins'it? I have to make all the patching process again. Right?
