You got the info from TT home I suppose? Otherwise you might have a problem.
Easiest option is to check the map thread, get a compatible map for your Navcore,
patch and activate using FastActivate premium and enjoy ;)
Instructions can be found in the map thread and the corresponding thread for FastActivate.

Yup from the operate device function.. Is that bad? Is there any way of getting that lane guidance feature on it as well? And thanks for replying, Appreciate it.

Update: Can I also update the NavCore? and Bootloader? Googling gave me a mix of yes and no's :\ Wanna make it speedy and feature packed. :)

No it's not bad, just gives wrong info about the bootloader since it is only a simulation ;)
Problem with XL models is that they often refuse to work properly with other Navcores, it is a game of trying.
For most people it is more important to have a V9 NC than a working system so they forget to try the older NC's.
I think the 8.412 SE should still work fine on an XL and give full features as you want, otherwise feel free to make a backup and try a few Navcores until you find one that suits your needs.

9.205 is a 32MB unit navcore. Many of our members have done well with it on their Ones, One XLs etc.

I think I bricked it... with http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?991-How-to-update-Navcore... Starts but hangs after it loads.. Help? :(

You can not brick a TT ;)
What Navcore did you use and how exactly did you try to install it?
Have you tried a hard rest and the TT Clear Flash tool?

Erm... The SE_Navcore.8.412.1236.Basicpack in that post... and Just copy and pasted? Like how it says in the post. I held the reset button down for 30secs and it showed a quick glimpse of diagnostics and then starts but hands at start up... Doesnt get past the start up TomTom logo thing. And the clear flash tool says it needs a "Storage card" in it.. I dont have one... Stumped on what to do :\ PC wont connect to it as well.. Says usb has malfunctioned. And cannot find it in device manager.. But it charges.

Plug into the PC while the TT is still off, press and hold reset for 30sec.
Turn on the TT, it now should connect straight away.

I did this http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?8302-8.412-Setup However I do believe you need to change the boot in the device internal to be able to read a SD card. You can ask here how to do it.

Good call, a bootloader 5.5112 or higher would be recommended.
Check your download of the 8.412 for a file starting with "system" I think it is renamed to something like "system_5.5128".
Rename so it only reads "system" and try again the 8.412.

Trying now :) Fingers crossed :|
