So status:
emulation = x40
BT works
ALG not working
mp3 not working

how do you know ALG is not working ?? it is a rare feature and you will only see it reguler if you do a lot of motorway/highway driving

Create a setconfig.txt and make shure you have fmon and thre is no fmoff in there for the mp3 as tendriver stated ;) , setconfig.txt goes in the config folder

It is not necessary to have FMon. Be sure you don't have FMoff.

ALG: Confirm that you have it turned on. Main Menu, Change Preferences, Advanced Preferences, Show Lane Images.

x40 emulates a GO 40 series unit. x50 emulates a GO 50 series unit.

FYI, 9.205 x40 emu = jukebox, but no auto day/night.
x50 emu = auto day/night, but no jukebox.

Thank you for all your help.

Because i like the x50 emulation better than x40 - the issue of no mp3 sound is "solved". By tweaking the ALG settings off / on i managed to "activate" it.

So now there is only (i hope) one question left.

On my TomTom One 3rd (x40light emulation) - under sound settings - i can choose something like "Adjust volume according to speed" on my TomTom One XL (x40 or x50 emulation) i can choose "Adjust volume according to noise level".
Since my device do not have a microphone, i wonder if i can tweak the TT One XL to use the "adjust volume to speed" ?

You are Welcome. Enjoy!! The answer to your sound question is: "You are limited to the options, that the Main Menu offers you".
