I have:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 300
DeviceVersionHW=GO 300
DeviceSerialNumber=
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20081205
BootLoaderVersion=48600
LinuxVersion=2344
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183
UserLanguage=English UK
UserName=
LastConnectionTime=Never
GPSFirmwareVersion=2.4.13.03-XIAC2.0.2-C3PROD1.0
Is it possible to install a version of the European Truck maps onto it. From what I can gather the bootloader needs to be updated, as well as the firmware. I am quite happy to do the research in your tutorials etc but don't want to waste my time if my unit is too old.
Can anyone advise me please?
Thanks

If you check my Navcores you will find a Truck version for 32mb devices....
But would not expect too much from your oldie ;)

Thanks Downunder - I'll have a look, I don't need it to be all singing and dancing, I enjoy the challenge but didn't want to waste time on something that couldn't be done.

:D Have installed Truck 9.701 with the latest map, the only thing I had to do was rename the system file to just 'system' and add postcodes - had a few issues activating the map, think maybe I used the wrong 'exe' but I got there in the end. Ok my old girl is running a bit slow but hay, I don't drive that fast!:rofl_mini:
Thanks again for your help and to all on here who share their knowledge and expertise, please mark this as well and truly sorted.

If you want to speed things up a bit:
Deactivate all POI's from showing on the map ;)
You can still use them for navigation, but if not visible on the map screen you will save a lot of RAM and computing power for other things.
Also if you are under 6mb of free RAM it mkes sense to try it without a computer voice.
