We have a go710 that's been happily running navcore 9.43 for a while, until a few days ago the SDcard in it died.
No problem i thought. Just extract the backup i took of the card when it was originally configured to a new card.
New card inserted and everything boots as normal but the "Waiting for a valid GPS signal..." never goes away.
GPS status screen shows 9 satellites in view but they're all greyed out. The time next to the activity disc is correct so i'm assuming it's pulling this from the satellite data? Reset via holding the power button and the hard reset button but no difference.
Edit: Have tried with empty ephemeris folder and with new files from quickfix.
Any ideas?

If you backup was working than the only problem I can see is missing data for the satellite positions.
Did you try to empty the ephem folder and to download the correct quick fix data using TT Home?
There are two chipset models for the TT's if you use the wrong files your TT won't see satellites at all.

Had tried updating quickfix info via fastactivate and have just updated with home. No change.
Just copied a card from my other working 710. Deleted the .bif file and rerun fast activate and updated it with home. Still no satellite goodness. Currently showing 9 satellites all with grey bars.
Info from fastactivate:

But I assume you tested it outside?
If you still get nothing after 15 minutes outside you might have to face a fault in the receiver.

Just tested again and after 30 minutes outside i see 8 satellites with the figures:
34 27 29 39 21 28 21 27
30 07 09 10 28 13 26 02

GPSfix didn't have any effect.
I've taken the sirf board out of the working one and when that's in the faulty 710 it works just fine. Downunder had it with the faulty reciever.
Thanks for your helps guys
