Postby sekicz » Wed Aug 21, 2013 10:07 am

Hi, friend gave me Tomtom Go710 and it show only that debug screen with some technical infos when i boot it up. I was trying to hold power button for 20secs but nothing happened - reset button works but still getting nowhere. He have 2GB sdcard in it so i tought that he have some bloatware on it so I took my sdcard with navcore 9 and some map but still nothing. Oh yeah, and I dont have USB cable for it.Would anyone please help me? Thanks

Without a USB connection there is nothing to do anyway...
If a different SD does not work either I can only suspect a hardware fault.

1. Without a usb cable, your only option is to work with his or your SD card via a card reader.
2. Maps are device specific. You have to patch the map on your card using the 710 ttgo.bif, before it will work.

Yeah but when you update navcore you need to create ttgo.bif with first run but this wont run(it dont work even with .bif from his card...

1. Not so, unless you do a clean install & don't have any access to the device's old ttgo.bif from any source, ie a backup file or SD card etc.
2. Did you put FastActivate with a current meta.txt file & a copy of the 710's ttgo.bif file on the SD card, run FA, then confirm the map is patched?

Please run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} on the SD card that you are setting up for the 710. Post the results here.
