Hi all, please excuse the question if it has been answered a thousand times ( newbie alert!)
I've had a good read through of lots of great info. on here and I am struggling with updating my ancient go910.
A couple of questions if I may.
I'm on 7.903 which seems to be the most up to date navcore for the 910 - do any of the maps for Western & Central Europe feature lane guidance for this version - I can't seem to see one.
Is there a way around this by upping the navcore and if so - are there any consequences - ie. will it still work properly?!
Will I need to update all the maps - USA etc or will they still work witht the modded navcore.
If /when I fail miserably with my first attempt can I simply reinstall my downloaded winrar backup?
Many thanks, and please excuse my ignorance.

1. No.
2. Yes. When using a navcore not designed for the unit it is loaded on, there are loses. Every attempt is made to keep the loses to a minimun.
3. What maps do you have loaded?
4. This is the sole purpose of having a backup.

Thanks for the reply tendriver, much appreciated.
I have very old versions of Western & Central Europe - version 660.1219 and North America from 10 years ago or so.

Do you want the same coverage with new maps?
"North America from 10 years ago or so" might be a little off the mark. The 910 came out in 2006. LOL.

It would be good to have USA but I am more concerned with the European side of things.
You mean they designed something this ugly just 5 years ago?!

OK we will get you up and running with a Europe map, & then add USA. Full Europe or W&CE?

Thanks.
Which ever is easiest! W&CE has been fine for what I use it for up to now.
Most comprehensive of UK / France / Germany etc would be ideal.

Once again, many thanks for the links.
I'm downloading now.
The map with automatic patcher link is downloading a file called iLividSetup - is this correct please?
Do I leave the old maps on the tomtom or delete them, please?

1. NO!!! Scroll toward the bottom of the LinkSave.in page, that opens, until you see "The visitorpassword that you have entered is wrong" notice.
Below this notice, is a gray box titled Visitorpassword:. Type navitotal in the gray box & click enter. The multi-part download links will be at the bottom
of the page that opens. Use the single downward pointing arrow under the word "Download" to download the multi-part map.
2. You have a backup, so you can remove them.

Please may I just ask a couple more dumb questions.
Do I just look for the v880.3810 self patching maps for the USA etc?
Do I need to update the speed cameras / poi's or are they preloaded on the new map?
Are there any other useful bits and pieces I can put on it now?
Once again, many thanks

1. The 880 maps came out on Nov. 15 & are still being uploaded as we get them. At the present time, North America 2GB 880.3810 is the only NA/USA map available. For USA only, You can use United States 2GB 875.3613, until more 880s are posted.
2. What speed cams do you currently have? POIs are pre-loaded.
3. You can load Fuel Prices for Europe.

Thanks again, I'll keep checking for the latest maps.
The 910 has 20 gb so I may as well load a few and dream of winning the lottery, so I can get to visit these places.
Think I have sorted the cameras, thanks
