Google is no longer supported with the current Navcores.
TT replaced with their own search.
You can try to go back to your old Navcore but I can't tell if Google still works there and if so for how long.

Current official GO 750 navcore is 9.465. 9.485 is the same navcore with Chinese support added.

Thanks,

upgraded to 9.465 and all works fine. although the brightness level at night time now does not appear to be altered, i have gone through the control panel and changed to 5% brightness at night, but it stays on very bright, any suggestions?

Have checked it while driving or you switched manually?
5% is minimum and usually quite alright.

I have tried it through brightness preferences: day colour 70%, night colour brightness 5% and switch to night colours when dark is ticked. not sure if that is correct way to do it. when i do this the screen dims to 5% but as soon as I accept then it reverts back to being very bright. am i doing something wrong?

When dark work either using the light sensor (if present and correct emu is used) or by time.
If you want to check it switch manually to night mode.

I use gbnew for both day (100%) and night (45%) and "Reduce brightness when dark" checked. GO 910, 9.430.

If you are using SE 9.465, it is defaulted to X40 & the auto day/nite feature is not functional. Change the emu to x50 for it to function. Another option is to not use the SE version & patch 9.465 with FastActivate Premium 1.8.9.0 Updated 02.12.2012.

That is all you ever have to do with a new official navcore for a X50 unit.

You might want to check the tutorial section in regards to the switchfiles.
Light sensor only works in native emu, X40 and X50 should work by time - or simply with a voice command.
