Hi Holyhead,

I know it is old, but my parents also :), and they needed some time to figure this one out... they don't like too much technological changes ... So first I would try this before telling them to move on :P

Oke make a backup from the old navcore (with windows not with TTHome)

Did not work out.
It gave me some problem with the card.
Said I could not use this card with this device.

I think i Go for a new one.
Though was fun to play around with it.
Sorry for the late answer I was on business trip

I new one is the best buy one with live time maps. --> I got 30% reduction trough tomtom website
Wich map you try to activate. i tried a western europe 1 GB // and also the original one… both no succes


Now I am thinking to use it on my motorcycle... if I could transform it to the interface they have for tomtom Rider

You gave up too easily...I think you were trying to activate a map that didn't have a meta code available which is essential to get a successful result, but ok

Follow holyhead's instructions from before but with the following Rider navcore:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

Recommended map:

United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 1030.9519

Thanx for replying. Maybe the meta could have been the problem.
I try the Rider navcore soon.
Do you have any recommended map (Europe) Since I live in Belgium ;)
