I have a question about “Automatic Installer & Patcher”

Sat Apr 02, 2011 11:22 pm

My GPS: Tomtom Go 910

According to your instruction:

"Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions:
Maps with “Automatic Installer & Patcher” are a Navitotal's Exclusive Product.
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sdcard in your sdreader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched."

My questions:
1,should I format my Go910 first before I install? (or delete all files in the machine?) or keep all the old files?
2,should I unpack the RAR files or the Installer does it automatically?

Thanks!

1. Do not format!! The installer does not install a navcore, so there are no files to remove. Just remove your old map.
2. Made I suggest that if you really feel like you need an auto installer, use 1 of these: 865 maps with installer and FastActivate

Thanks for your reply!
But, I tried to install it with my old files. when the installation is finished, my Go910 still shows the old maps. When I delete my old map, it shows "no map". I tried the North-America-3254, now I am trying 3245.
Thank you again!
