which do you think is the best option

both maps and navcore will not fit on the device (500 mb memory)

tried putting it all onto the SD card but had lots of problems with freezing and lock ups even after running clear flash tool 3 times

so should i

put maps on device and navcore on SD card or try it all again on SD card and bottom the freezing issues

thanks again for the help

Install all on the sd card using one of our Automatic Navcore installers found here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation

I used the auto install of navcore9051, and installed evything on to the SD card and as before just freezes all the time

i select navigate to then select a favorite and it freezes, same when i select plan a route then select a point on the map ,as soon as i select done it freezes

i have installed clear flas 3 times and it still does the same clear

Let's try it again manually.

Download this navcore: SE_Navcore.9.051.503855.Basicpack.rar + SE_ttsystem.9.051.503855
Download FastActivate ENG 21.09.2010 {1.6} Premium Edition. Read the info in this link.
Copy your map folder to your card.
Copy your XL's ttgo.bif file, the SE Navcore basicpack & all the SE ttsystem Files from the rar to your card.
Run FastActivate Maps/Voice/Speedcams.
DONE!!

did what you said and still the same, even went outside and gps fix and tried it but no luck

then i had a thought i wonder if the map settings copied from one deviceto the other had caused it so i removed the map settings file and it works no problem( i think copied these the old way by creating a fav in tom tom home then copy over the old favorites)

so how do i now transfer the favorites, is the best way to create a faovrite in the new map save it so you get the map settings file ,then simply copy and paste the old map settings file over??

copy your old MapSettings.cfg and make new favorite in TomTom HOME (that rebuild MapSettings.cfg) then try again...

other way is use [Please Register or Login to download file] and make poi file from MapSettings.cfg and then in tomtom you can make POIs to favorite

I just copy & paste the mapsettings.cfg file from an old map to a new.
