I know im new and this is very cheeky to jump right in with a help request but ive been unable to find the info I think this could be a new issue even you guys may have not seen

ok Ive a tomtom 520 battery was just about knackered so ive purchased a new from ebay fitting the new battery was easy all went well all working well or so I thought now its says my maps / uk will not work with this device strange as ive never patched this tomtom and they are the ones orginally installed from new

Switch to my memory card usa maps bought from tomtom sight and they work

Ive since been trying to installed new maps from a torrent and have patched the navcore but am unsure which maps to reinstall i dont understand the compatibility charts

think ive sussed the chart at last sorry guys any idea on why my original map doesnt work after fitting the new battery it has me baffled

There is no possible way for changing a battery to cause the problem that you describe, unless the unit was not put back together correctly.
Confirm that your 9.510 navcore & USA map have not been patched. Look in the UK map folder & confirm that there is a .meta.dct file in it.
