help needed for navcore update and map update

Hi guys,

I try to update my TT one but getting some problems, here's some details,

At the momne I have navcore 8.412 and try to update with Australia_855.2938 & New Zealand_855.2884, but getting errors that cant use this maps on the device. So I try to update the navcore with 9.026xl2009, but that is also giving me trouble, it freezes and not working and language is changing itself.

Also wants to know can I use lane guidance with current device?

Download SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation and run the .exe, then run the included file autoactivate.exe to patch your map and job done

you can see what maps have lane guidence by looking at my map chart in new map topic and looking what maps have ALG

thanks for your help djc151084 . now new maps are working, but there is no sound, I chose internal speaker but still there is no sound. what should I do?

Confirm that you have a voice loaded.

These are my TT-One info, I have allready downloaded Western Europe 1GB 855.2931 also downloaded FastActivate ENG 14.09.2010 {1.6} and SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar althought I don't want to make any mistakes that's why I'm asking for help.

What I've to do first?I've already done backup...what I've to do next?

Does I need to Update the software navcore?This is the first step, isn't it?
The SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar make a Modify to the new navcore to accept a new map or does I've to make a another patching?
After that I've already Find a new map, I just have to replace the map i.e. in my TT I've to replace Western_Europe_1GB, isn't it?
To finish I'0ve make fastactivate or am IO wrong?

You got the SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar from here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation. There are detailed instructions in post 1 of that thread.

Choose a voice & test it before you select it. Does it test OK?

I tasted it and cant hear anything. but before updating the navcore and maps, I was able to listen to instructions.

Did you do a clean install?

Now I have done a clean install but still no voice. I downloaded more voices through tomtom home but still same cant hear anything.

I'm afraid the 9.205 won't work properly on a XL340.
You should try a Navcore that is made for the XL models otherwise you will have mute voices with most Navcores.
TheseXL models are very fuzzy when it comes to new Navcores.
So I suggest to try the 9.026 or the 9.056 and report if you got your voices back.
The 9.026 you can patch yourself for the 9.053 you need the SE version.
But both should give you TTS and full featured maps.

i already updated with 9.026xl2009 navcore before but didnt work at all and was freezing. and after that updated withSE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb .
