HELP!!!

Postby janvhh » Mon May 13, 2013 9:15 pm

Hi all
I am new to this site. I read, I read, and....? I d/l 865.3244 for my go 720, I bought an sd card, copied the files. TThome sees the files but can't use them. tthome is drive N on my pc and the sd card is drive M, I click on "change navigation system" to M (sd card), but the tt stains on N. I have absolutely no knowledge of what to do.
The version I d/l contains the following files: activation; europe 865.3244; navcore and TT radars europe (flitspalen europa 02022010 SCDB - Just4fun-Team_and_FTAClub )
Please, help me (please)
thank you
Jan

Simply follow the instructions provided in the 905 map thread and it will work just fine.

1. Why did you download a 2 1/2 year old map???
2. Are you referring to the navcore on your 720's internal memory as tthome?
3. I have no idea what this is, but it did not come from Navitotal. We do not offer help for items downloaded elsewhere.

Download & run: TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} Post the results here.

Hi Downunder,
Thank you for your reply. As I said, I am new here and didn't know I could d/l items here. I will look and do what I've been told (as I usually do, since I am married)

Still not out of the forest

Postby janvhh » Wed May 15, 2013 2:28 pm

Hello,

Not knowing I couldn't get help with files d/led elsewhere, I d/l Europe (that was before I found you guys). Somehow, I managed to get my tt to NOT work anymore (no maps found) and I can't access TT with Home. The very first thing I must do is reinstall the original files. I tried reset, and again, and again. Still get the same message "no map found" (it seems the map I put in the internal memory is not compatible). Where (or what) are the factory settings so that I can start anew with a "clean" tt go 720? (I d/l Greece 905.4754_Installer via this site and intend to put it on a sd card)
Thank you for your help

1. It is not necessary to start a new thread for the same issue.
2. Had you followed the instructions in post 3 above, your issue probably would have been solved by now.
3. (no maps find) is an indicator that the navcore is not patched.
4. You are creating a lot of unnecessary work for yourself.

I am sorry to have disturbed you for (I hope) nothing. But I did place (accidentally) a lot of files in the internal memory.
Thank you again for your help (and patience)

Hi (again),
I searched and couldn't find how to patch. Anyway, TTHome says (when I try to get to the tt via Home) (rough translation from Dutch) "remark: this function is not supported for your combination of your navigation system, the application of your navigation system and the operating system of your computer" (windows 7, 64 bits, but it used to "work" before I started "toying" with my tt).
I am truly sorry to annoy you with my petty problems,
Thank you for your help.

You are not disturbing me. We are here for no other reason than to help our members.

Hi NT,
I open the tt directory on py pc, ctrl A + ctrl C and ctrl V here, and nothing happens. It doesn't happen either if I copy/paste in Word. I don't know how to post the results here, or am I trying to copy the wrong files? When I go to ttHome -> systeminformation, I cannot copy anything (I get some unredable giberish in a word document).
Thank you
Jan

Do you not understand that the RED in post 3 is a link. Click it, read it, download it, unzip it, run it, & post the results here.

Just follow post #3, why do you think Tendriver highlighted the important bit in RED? ;)

Hi NT,
"Do you not understand that the RED in post 3 is a link. Click it, read it, download it, unzip it, run it, & post the results here." That's what I did, but I don't know how to post the results (as I explained in my previous message).
Thank you again for your patience

Hi NT,
In Program, there is no "myversion.txt", only Application.tlv
