Help! TomTom XL-330S

Postby 99bobster99 » Wed Jun 30, 2010 11:17 am

Hello all,

I have a TomTom XL-330S (currently at v8.010), would someone be so kind as to recommend the latest navcore basicpack this unit would be able to accept (a tutorial would be handy, using Keygen 4.1D), and the latest "USA_and_Canada" map I could "test"?

You have a widescreen device with 32mb RAM , right ?? follow this but change the map for whatever map you want as this is a guide i had written up for some1 else 9.026 is capable of running any map so just take your pick 850 is current ;) and you will be fine.

• Do a Backup before attempting any upgrade using windows explorer and always check your bootloader version if it is a 1x bootloader do not go any further consult a member of the TomTom team here first.

• Download [Please Register or Login to download file] and copy the complete contents to your device overwriting any commen files,
• Download SE_ttsystem.9.026.483454 and copy the contents to your device overwriting when prompted
• Download your required map I will use the next map as an example you change it to whatever map you require (9.026 is capable of running all the maps) [Please Register or Login to download file]
• When downloaded extract the files to a folder in the root of your device named [Please Register or Login to download file] .
• Download and extract Keygen 4.1D to a folder on your PC
• Download THISmeta.txt and copy it to your keygen folder overwrighting when prompted
• In the keygen folder run this file “Tomtom4.exe” (If you use vista or Win7, Right click and run as admin), In the keygen press button “Make map keys” > “Create DCT’s” This will write a .dct for all maps/voices/cams ect on your device.
• Shut down the keygen, Disconnect device, Reeboot device and you will have a working unit ;)

Hi djc151084,

Thank you for the information! The XL-330S has 1GB of internal memory, and is a widescreen, with no SD slot. Will the procedure and SE Navcore file you mentioned allow this XL-330S to use the IQRoute feature? If not, which ones should I use to enable this feature? Also, the map I would like to use is this one (USA & Canada v850.2783 ) from the "Latest 850 maps" thread. Or I've seen some threads that recommend using the (USA & Canada v850.2834 ) map instead?

1. IQ & ALG are map functions, not Navcore.
2. 850.2783 is the only USA & Canada map available at this time. It does not have IQ/ALG.
