ministry wrote:Hi I am new to this so please pardon my ignorance. I have been trying to update my Tomtom One 3rd Ed. to latest map but to no avail. My version is 8.010.
1. I have tried Australia_865_3245 (the blue link) from this page and after running it I still see the version is 8.010.
In my Tomtom drive I see two folders Australia and Australia_865.3245 on root drive. I see another folder with same name in subfolder of Australia_865.3245. I don't know if that should be "Australia" (overwriting the other Australia folder).
I also tried AutoActivate 28.03.2011 {1.8.6.6} from same page. I copied it in root directory of tomtom drive and it does its work but after going back to version its still the same number. I dont know what I am doing wrong. There is no detailed instruction on what to do step by step. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Its a bit confusing.
Thanks in advance.

tendriver wrote:1. 8.010 is your navcore (operating system) version, not your map version. 865.3245 maps are not compatible with your 8.010 navcore. They require navcore 8.2xx or higher. 865 edition maps are out of date. 870 is the current edition. The 875 edition will be out in about 2 weeks.
I suggest you wait for the 875 maps

ministry wrote:Still no luck. I have downloaded "Australia_870_3391 with Automatic Installer & Patcher" the orange link but after starting it up it still shows the old map. When I go to manage map, I see two "Australia". I assume the bottom one is the new map but it freezes after I select it. After resetting and turning it on, it freezes on splash screen. I have to connect it computer and delete or rename the new Australia folder. Is there something else I have to do. Do I need FastActivate or AutoActivate? I have done them as well but no luck. Please help.

Australia-336.meta & Australia-336.meta.dct must be only in map directory
if Australia-336.meta.dct file not exist use autoactivate
