I have a GO750 data below:

DeviceName=TomTom Go
DeviceVersionHW=GO 750
BootLoaderVersion=55259
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9053
ApplicationVersion=520930.1
CurrentMap=Europe_2GB
CurrentMapVersion=840.2566

I am trying to get Euorope Truck version 8396x50 to run with Truck Europe Maps 860.3122, from a 4GB sd card, all I get is the tomtom screen.
I have also wipe'd my GO750 and loaded the navecore on to it and the maps on the sd card. This worked as far as the navecore but stated that the map was not compatible with the device, so would not load.

Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong here please?

1. Confirm, by looking for a .meta.dct & a .tmeta.dct file in the map folder, that you have successfully patched the map.
2. We don't recommend "wiping" the a units memory.

My method is as follows:

(install onto sd card)
1..... Navcore 8.395
2..... Europe Truck 860.3122 Map (Plus any speed cams)
3..... Bif file
4..... Activate (autoinstaller or autoactivate)
5..... Update on tomtomhome (it should try to update the Truck software to 8.398)
6..... Copy 8.398 system file onto root of sd card
Job Done!

Sorry meant I backed up then erased the original software off the GO750,

Just remembered didnt patch map, which software do you recommend for achieving that?

1. Latest Navcores I'll have a x50 version shortly.
2. We don't recommend erasing either, except in the most sever cases.
3. AutoActivate 09.01.2011 {1.5.03}

I have been lucky so far and the unit has its original software back on it and working correctly......

I originally updated my tttruck on tthome and it updated to 8.398 and then the maps would not work so i just got the 8.398 system file and copied it over which made everything perfect again!! that's why i put step 6 in my procedure!! I didn't at the time have the full navcore 8.398. Ive seen your response to the Full SE 8398 x50 and have downloaded that for future ref!!

1. The 8.398 system file is the bootloader & has nothing to do with whether the map will be available or not. You probably meant the pre-patched ttsystem file.
2. The 8.398.cab & pre-patched ttsystem files have been available in the Latest Navcore thread for a long while.
