help with TT 710 and SD Card

Hi, i have been posting on gpsunderground, and was about to buy membership to get this sorted, but had a message to try here (cos it's better apparently :P )

anyhoo....i've been trying to get my TT 710 working with the original 1GB SD card, but after 3 seperate posts and some hair pulling, i'm no closer to resolving the problem.

I have since bought an 8GB class 6 SD card and really just need to know what i need to put on it to get it working with a Western Europe map please ??

i'm a complete beginner and dont really understan navcores and bootloaders and stuff.

any help greatly appreciated.

What navcore do you want?

see, that's got me already....i have no idea, obviously the latest working everything is generally what i would be looking for.

Make a backup of your current setup using Windows Explorer.

Download this map: Western Europe 850.2781 [1.84GB]
Download this navcore: [Please Register or Login to download file] + Pre-patched ttsystem file 9.053- GO 750 - GO 950
Download TomTom Keygen 2010 4.1D Update the meta.txt file in this tool.
Remove the old map folder & copy in the new.

Copy in the Navcore & only the SE ttsystem File from the rar, overwriting any common files.

Run 4.1D "Make map keys". Disregard any corrupt messages. DONE!!__________________

There is a bit of a wait, but I don't recall it being a full hour.
Navitotal TomTom doesn't have anything on Rapidshare, that I am aware of.

yea, i did one download then it said that i had used my allocation and I had to wait an hour before i could do the next :(

ok...update...

1.) i finally downloaded all the map files

2.) i've copied the nav core and map files over to the SD (i've not put the SD in the TT yet though)

3.) I tried running the 4.1D keygen thingy, but after updating the meta it doesn't want to run (tried on 2 machines and in 'administrator mode' )

4.) tried using easy activator, but it says the .bif file is not correct.

any ideas ??

You must have a copy of your togo.bif file on the SD card for 4.1D to patch it.

sorry for the stupid question, so does that mean i put it in the TT and run the setup, turn off and put the SD back in the computer ?

put SD card in TT and did setup (it said no map found)

Took SD card out and put back in computer....still couldn't get 4.1D Keygen to work, but easy activator worked and created the .dct ? file

Tried SD in TT - still says no maps found !!!

back to square one.

can u give us a screenshot of the content on your GPS?

What navcore are you using. Most of the files are 2 years old.
