On my recent holiday to the USA I purchased a Tomtom XL340 GPS unit which came standard with maps for the USA, Canada and Mexico. The GPS came in very handy. However, now I'm back in Australia I would like to remove the standard maps and replace them with the current Australian maps.
From my research so far I believe I need to make a full backup of the GPS unit, format the unit (FAT32), install the appropriate NavCore (any suggestions), download and install the Australian maps and install software to crack the maps.
I'm only new to the forum but I hope somebody can offer some friendly advice.
GPS Configure:-
DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=XL
BootLoaderVersion=55274
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9151
ApplicationVersion=605385.2
CurrentMap=USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P
CurrentMapVersion=865.3254
Thanks for reading my post.

-No format!
All you need is the current 870 map of austrlia, and FastActivate.
Copy the map on the device, run Fast Activate and klick through the buttons, beginning on the left ;)

Thanks mate your advice worked a treat.
I now have the USA and Australian maps installed.
Next I need to workout how to install speed cameras.

No wokout needed ;)
Simply download the speedcam archive and extract the two files for Australia into your map folder.
Run FastActivate again to activate the cams (maps/voices/speedcams) - enjoy ;)
