How to download a map?

Postby paula » Thu Dec 15, 2016 11:32 am

Hello, I try to download the TomTom map Benelux_980_7971.
It 's said that I should click on the mapname and then I should see a screen with the word "Authorizing". Below it I should see a GOLD KEY & 5 black dots. I should replace the black dots with the password: navitotal.
Whatever i have tried, I never got a screen with the word "Authorizing". a GOLD KEY or 5 black dots.
Please help me, this is driving me crazy.
Paula

Click on the download button
Probably you got some advertising close it
Click on the download button again
Click in the open circle and you got the file factory link

Just to make it a little easier for you to download Benelux 980.7971, click on [Please Register or Login to download file] (PW: navitotal)

Hello Holyhead,
Thank you for helping me, but when I click your link I come on a File Factory site, saying "Server Load Too High". I cannot do anything on this site.
Why is it made so difficult to download a file?
Anyway, thank you for your support, Paula

Hello Fredderf
Thank you for helping me to download the map Benelux 980.7971.
But when I click your link I come on a page from relink.to. Nothing on that page to download the map. Maybe I am not smart enough to understand the download method.
Maybe one day I will figure it out.
Thanks anyway, Paula

That's weird as I gave you a link that should give you an automatic download.

Try [Please Register or Login to download file] one instead

Hoi Fredderf, Thank you for the second link. This one worked for me. I could download the map and installed it on my very old Mio 168. I am very happy.
However, I would still like to know how to download a map by myself. I already got some advice, but this did not work. Maybe someone is so kind to explain the right method to me. I real feel like a dumb blonde, and I'm not even blonde. I'm using Windows 10 and Internet Explorer 11. Maybe that is not the right browser?
Thanks again, Fredderf.

Paula

Hi Paula

Ok, glad that one worked for you.

No, there's nothing wrong with IE 11 but maybe you need to install an [Please Register or Login to download file] on it as some of these sites can be a little confusing due to the ad's as Holyhead already mentioned. EasyList is pretty good.

Also, in the future look for the Maps Collections page where you should find a few different links to choose from.

Hallo Fredderf,

Paula - English only please

Hello Fredderf,
Good idea to use a adblcker. I'm right Adblock Plus installed. This seems to be the only one that works with Internet Explorer. Well try or card downloading works.
Thank you very much for your good help. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2017.
