Download the latest postcodes from the V875 map thread, and then extract the TWO UK files, copy them into the Zip folder which should be in the ROOT of the SD card.

Having problem getting into my X350 to modify it.
When using the the USB cable to connect to a PC (vista). I get an error message says One on the USB devices connected to the computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it.
Have tried different PC and and cable Although the sat nav does work ok.
Any idea please?

You have got WMDC installed?

Connect the device, wait for Vista to finish complaining about it, uninstall the device in device manager, tick the box for remove device drivers, Disconnect, wait a minute, reconnect and let it install itself again.

I don't know what WMDC is, but my son's x350 connects to this this PC ok with the same lead.
When in device manager it continually refreshes whilst trying to recognise the device it does not give up, just continually tries so can't actually view it in device manage,
Appreciate your help
thank you.

Windows Mobile Device Center...basically the "ActiveSync" replacement for Vista and Windows 7.
If installed, it would be in Control Panel and probably in the Start Menu somewhere.

PS. In it's default install state, WMDC runs as a service and will popup automatically when a compatible device is connected..unless the service is manually stopped or disabled, of course.

I had a similar problem on my Vista PC, Certain USB drives/devices were not recognized, Even though they previously worked.

It will show up in device manager as "Other Devices"

But then if it doesn't connect to any PC then it may be a hardware issue.

You don't need USB access to run other satnav programmes...
