How to load speed cameras & alert on tomtom one v2

Postby fernr001 » Tue Aug 17, 2010 2:27 pm

Hello tendriver,
Looks like the fastactivate patch is NOT working in my case due to no .dct file, do you know why?
When the fastactivate runs it comes up with a small black screen followed by white and the four
options update meta text, maps/voice/speedcams etc, when speedcams pressed goes back to the
blank white screen and deisappears.
What is the next move any other suggestions? thanks

This was already done previously right at the beginning when djc suggested, using AUTOactivate, anyway have tried again
made sure the two ver and ov2 files for Safetycam Premium were in map folder, and from root when run created
a meta file but NO DCT file? Have copied the patch program and tried from the map folder same thing, comes up with
black screen followed by white screen connecting to server and disappears creating a meta file.
Has it got anything with compatability with the navcore 9101 and maps version v850 on Tomtom ONE v2?
I have had no problems with navation on the Satnav, apart from this one. Thanks

Downloaded the EA5.21 and after a fewl attempts finally got it run producing the .dct files required and its now show the following , and can confirm it comes up on the Main Menu, TomTom Services, Safety Alerts, Change warning preferences, showing all the various cameras.
That was fantastic now only left to do is test it out on the roads to confirm all is well.
Just one question will the above give me an audible alert sound? also why do we have to patch Tomtom Home?
Brillant and thanks a lot, greatly appreciated.

Congrats!! You are Welcome!! Enjoy!!
1. You will get an audible alert sound, if you set the sounds for the various cameras in Main Menu, TomTom Services, Safety Alerts, Change warning preferences.
2. TT Home is patched only to use "Operate my device".

TT Home will give you complete updates, mapshare, Quickgpsfix, US Safety cams, etc, just like an unpatched unit. In fact, I got updates for all 3 this morning.

Glad you got it working, but that still leaves us with the problem as to why autoactivator was not working for you, can you confirm you ran it from the root directory and what is your map folder called,

thanks

He ran the patcher from the root & also tried running it from the map folder, which the latest version is capable of doing. Map folder name is irrelevant.

Well i do not see how it did not work for him then, as it works for everone else , this is the first person with a complaint about the program that i have found, so i ask my self is it a user error (But AutoActivate is very simple and shouldnt be able to get user errors) ? or a bug in the program? would be good to hear from Pietu on this

Hi I am confused with the above comments, all I can say I tried running the Autoactivate from root on the SD card which was in the Tomtom connected to the PC with the USB which is the G drive and also tried running from the map folder named as North _America_850.2781, how do you run as adminstrator I am not familar?
I also have two further problems wich requires your attention please.
1) The postcode provided with the navcore v9.101 is not very good when the first three codes entered its comes up with a list, have downloaded the latest zip
file and which this version does not have it now comes up with street names instead of going straight to house number is there a better one?
2) The Easyusetools program will work on my desktop PC which has XP. but NOT on my laptop which has Xista, is there a solution please.

PS Tested the Speedcams on the road last night and it picked most of them GREAT!
and also is it possible to set up alert for USA speedcams?

thanks,
fernr001

Right click autoactivate.exe to run it as Admin.

1. Postcodes are a map feature, not a navcore feature. The downloadable zip is for the UK & Netherlands only.
2. Easyusetools works on any Windows OS.

pietu requests a copy of your ttgo.bif file to help solve your autoactivate issue. Please PM it to him or me. Be sure to delete the serial # & uniqueID before you send it.
